Which shows you how utterly appalling the Tory party has been. Well they haven’t. They’ve had to deal with Brexit, Covid, Ukraine and Israel issues. Can’t think of too many terms when so many big issues have come along in quick succession. Despite all that most economic indicators are improving. Plus let’s not forget the absolute carnage they inherited when they came in thanks to the lack of foresight of boom and bust Brown. But like all Governments, they reach a point when people get fed up and want change and that point has been well and truly reached. I just wish Labour had a better, more inspirational, leader. Starmer is a big load of nothing. But he doesn’t have to be any better to win. As they say, in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king. Id love to think we will see improvement, but we won’t. We will get 5 years of nothing, blaming the Tories at every opportunity, then a general election where the Tories, having got themselves organised and a better leader in place will be back in Government. 🤦♂️

This reads like a press release from Conservative Party HQ suggesting they will eventually get a better leader and organised, hardly the stuff of a positive Conservative Party press release is it. But I do understand what’s being going on over the past decade and I doubt Starmer would have done any better, or Milliband, or Corbyn. Brown screwed up. Politics at an all time low

But I do understand what’s being going on over the past decade and I doubt Starmer would have done any better, or Milliband, or Corbyn. Brown screwed up. Politics at an all time low Reckon Corbyn would have killed fewer people with their crazy covid schemes. Reckon Corbyn would have stolen less and not have been part of and presided over massive theft and corruption during a national emergency. Reckon Corbyn would have got a better EU deal. Reckon any of the labour leaders would not have enforced a hugely divisive referendum solely to save their own party. Reckon waiting times at hospitals would have been much much much lower. Reckon any of the Labour leaders over the last few years would have made a better job of coming out of the banking crisis and not used it to implement a social engineering plan. Tories have been incompetent from top to bottom. Starmer may not be box office like your mate Boris but he is at least competent and has run things with actual responsibility and made a decent job of it. Give me a well meaning bore over a dangerous clown as leader, any day.

I’ll add this too. Thatcher did many good things and many many terrible things. I didnt know any family on benefits before Thatcher came to power. During her reign and with chronic unemployment, we saw whole estates become addicted to the soma drug of benefits with no need to come off.
The current epidemic of benefit lifestyle is directly linked to the Thatcher years.

But I don’t like him one bit. Never had and never will. But I’m so glad a majority saw Corbyn for what he was and he has rightly been consigned to the dustbin of history as far as any meaningful input is concerned. At least Starmer got that right.

Well quite, I'm no fan of Corbyn or any of the 'loonie left' fringe that took over Labour for a while. He is popular in his constituency though, I know many people who will vote for him and I think he has a very big chance of winning there as an independent

It seems to be accepted that Tories are going to get smashed and Sunak's career will be over. Is it a surprised that Rory Wotsisname is already taking his hat off in readiness to throw it in the ring. Who else is likely to be among the circling vultures? Braverman? Patel?

I think the Tories may split after the election, especially if they suffer a bad defeat. The one nation Tories in one side and the right wing loonies like Braverman, and Truss on the other They may defect to Reform as well

seems like the lady seems like the lady who launched her milk shake at Farage has been arrested. I wonder if it had been stirred?

Splashed all over the news. Is this another deviation game? It would suit an election.

So what's the concensus of last night's debate?
I watched it on YouTube this morning and Starmer was floundering. The man has zero policies, zero integrity and will say anything especially what people want to hear, yet won't answer a question.
Sunak is just weak in every way, and never in a million years would I have made him PM, but he wiped the floor with old jellyfish.
Neither man nor party is the answer unfortunately.
My ballet paper will read
NONE OF THE ABOVE
