All I know is where my vote will not be going.

My interest in politics over recent years has declined. Poor party leaders all round.

Voting is the adult equivalent to writing to Father Christmas. If it could make a difference the real rulers wouldn’t allow it.

Voting is the adult equivalent to writing to Father Christmas. If it could make a difference the real rulers wouldn’t allow it. When the children wrote to me (alias Father Christmas) they always got most of what they asked for. In fact they still do write (texts, etc)lists at Christmas time and get most of what they want. I wonder if I should put myself forward for Prime Minister. Then you could all write to me on this forum.

Given I live in one of the safest labour seat in the country, doesn't matter much who i vote for So many seats are destined to be won like that. This election will be no different. But with the majority changing on an election by election basis we all know Labour will win, the only real question is will they have a clear majority or do deals. If Starmer cannot get a clear majority it’s a poor result. Used to love election night, staying up as the results came in, swingometerd, graphs, expert opinions and so on. Don’t much care these days. Oh for a quality leader.

All of them are very very poor. Does not matter who gets in, we will be run by a team that could not run a small company properly.

I don't think Starmer will win. That view surprises the hell out of me. Would be the shock of all election shocks. Even though he has the charisma of cold custard. I think its just a question of how big his majority will be. If you are right I will doff my cap to you.

Not the best of subjects nowadays is it.The old musical song Two lovely black eyes,is about a man who said he was voting or voted Tory and got duffed up,so nothing really changes.

Interestingly the last post revealed my thinking. Both parties are almost identical. The general view on the economy is that it's improving (inflation, shares, wages, growth). Farage has flown as an influence (helping Rishi). Why vote for someone different (unknown) who is going to do the same? Rishi's backroom team may have spotted something. Bigron, take that flutter and Donut get ready to doff your cap.
