I honestly have never been so despondent at an Election as I am now.
To think either Starmer ( probably) or Sunak will be running this country, is horrifying.
Sunak means well, but is a bumbling fool, and Starmer will be the most authoritarian PM we've ever had. He has thrown out almost everyone from the left, so that he is surrounded by yes men & women.
One thing is certain, if you are poor now & struggling, you will continue to be poor and struggling, whoever of these fools gets power.
If i was a young man, I would quit this country, and live abroad, so broken has it become

Trouble is, where would you move too? Europe looks like is going broke, to war and becoming fractured. America under Trump? Possibly Australia despite its heat and deforestation. Apparently Iran ain't as bad as it looks on TV, according to someone I know who moved here from there.

I've heard that mentioned elsewhere.

Angela Rayner? No chance.
I believe that Labour's "left-of-centre" candidates will find it difficult to organise because of the factional fighting that has characterised socialism throughout it existence. Many of the "hard left" may get elected. But they have no common programme due to the locally populist nature of their support. This support might be racial, religious or some other issue-based following. Starmer's big card is that he offers little or no change (people don't like change). But he's a different face who might do no change better than Rishi. If (a big "if) Labour are elected the pressure on them to carry on Rishi's agenda will be immense, and productive (in terms of general support). If Angela stages a coup the legitimacy will flood away and Labour, patched together by Starmer and his team, will disintegrate rapidly.
I don't think Rishi will win by much so I think we're in for another election within months after this one.

Oh, and if Starmer doesn't get a reasonable clear majority then he and his wing of the Labour Party are finished. Possibly Labour itself.

Starmer is going to walk this election though.

Just need an EU passport. Mine is in the post…

If my kids were not still in school I’d have left and gone already. When that day comes, I will be at my villa sitting outside drinking a beer, eating a steak and jumping in my pool. I will even start to play golf!
There are countries still offering golden visa’s although the eu are clamping down on them as they try very unsuccessfully to stop Russian gangsters etc get around the rules by buying an expensive property. Get one while you can!

I find it amusing the BREXITEERS are the first to try and escape the UK for the EU whilst kbola myself has three passports but still stick it out in Britain. Seems kbola is the true patriot after all

Get one while you can! Golden visas are getting scarce and, in some cases, can be revoked if the government thinks there's votes in doing so. I decided to go the naturalisation route which required me to know about Croatian history (as currently taught) and speak the lingo. Sadly, I cannot choose to live here and elect to pay my taxes in the UK. That's a definite "ouch".

Seems kbola is the true patriot after all I wouldn't be leaving due to the government. I'd be going for the sunshine! Guaranteed sunshine as well. Everyone is happier in the sun, people have an extra bounce in their step, unless your a lefty and all you do is moan and groan about what everyone else does and have! Politics is in a bad state right now, all parties and politicians are useless. Your vote doesn't matter as they don't listen to what the public want anyway. Well they did listen to the BREXITEERS! BOSH! Sunak is weak as a kitten, Starmer has no backbone or conviction and Davies is well just beyond a joke.

.... Davies is well just beyond a joke. The Libs are consistent in their choice of party leaders by systematically avoiding anyone who displays an ounce of leadership quality.

Sunak cuts short his trip to France to undertake an interview with ITV over his £2k claim.
Today he says he cares about our vetrens very deeply and has always supported them.
Homelessness is something I care about and want eradicated from our society.
If Sunak cares so much about our veteran's, why are so many living on the streets? Where is the care Sunak? Whilst our own struggle physically and mentally as our government (sucssive) ignores the people who served our country.
Our veteran's are not looked after nor cared for by our government and it boils my blood.

I will even start to play golf! Play golf! Don't go crazy now 😄 I moved house 20 odd years ago and got rid of my golf clubs. Of course (excuse the pun), our house is opposite the golf club. Haven't been tempted to try again.

Seems kbola is the true patriot after all What people voted for and what people got were so different, I wouldn't blame anyone for leaving. I believe everyone in UK should have the option of an EU passport given how much the UK paid the EU over a 45 year period.
