A full preseason season will help Saunders immensely. Absolutely. This is a class player at this level. Energetic, hard-nosed, great passer and can finish (admittedly only once, but it was a good'n). I think he's got the potential to be our main man in the middle.

Seems like he can do the playmaker role as a 10 or from deep, which could be useful for switching tactics without changing formation. Hope to see a lot more of him this season.

Such a frustrating stop-start season for Sanders but may l join this group of fans who think that he will shine in 2024/25? He may show us he has it in him to match Galbraith - how good would that be?

Just briefly back to Sanders. Am I the only person who thinks he looks like a young version of Richie? Would they by any chance be related?

Seems like Theo has been offered a new contract but yet to agree terms. Same case also applies with Ruel and Tom James. According to RW a couple of weeks ago said that Theo has been offered an extension to his existing contract. As he is injured and won’t be playing until January he will be foolish not to sign. Don’t expect any club will offer him a contract. I wonder how long the extension will be, 12 months I would guess ?

Sometimes it’s necessary to speculate to accumulate as the saying goes. Peterborough are quite clever in my opinion as a sort of stockbroker of the lower leagues . Buying at the lowest price and selling when a players worth is at its greatest. Thats fine but you need the money to speculate and we currently have owners already funding huge losses to keep us going. Not to mention ground improvements. Our owners are astute businessmen but even their generosity has its limits. We will get there in time but right now we are putting the building blocks in place. Not all speculation pays off, so a loss must also be considered. I much prefer the balanced and steady approach that the Leyton Orient owners are taking rather than the gungho boom and bust approach of some owners of football league teams. Result can often be a big spending spree followed by the teams getting in massive financial trouble.

Perhaps you should have been a football talent scout, you seem to have an eye for a good player.

Ruel has wanted away for some time. No surprise if he goes on a free. No risk to the new club. Maybe playing in a position that suits him and a style that better allows him to develop If he goes I wish him well. More interested in who comes in to be honest

Are we waiting for the likes of James Scowcroft (who hasn't got a club and who is desperate to sign for a low salary)? That's what it looks like to me.

It's possible that we may have agreed deals in principle but not worth announcing until contracts are signed. Even if they agree a deal they could easily change their mind since nothing is on paper.

More interested in who comes in to be honest On this forum you have been one of his biggest critics for quite a while, could be a case of you dont know what you have till its gone. Ruel works hard upfront, always likely to nick a goal and rarely misses games due to injuries. IMO it will be a big loss if he leaves the club.

My above comment was in reply to a post by redintheface, meaning that perhaps he would make a good football scout.

I tend to agree Dennis ,could be difficult to replace in the roll he plays .
