Spain were the best team in the tournament so you can't begrudge them the victory.England looked poor until Kane came off.As good as he's been for England we are a better team when he not playing maybe he's not fit.Also when our best players bellingham and foden were required to step up they weren't good enough.Spain the worthy champions

England too cautious in the first half.
Kane was never physically right throughout the tournament.
Hope Southgate leaves the job now. We need new ideas

Congratulations Spain !
Spain were the best team in the tournament but Southgate lost it for us before the game even started . By choosing to play Kane, who for some reason is playing like a donkey, we were playing the best team with only 10 men for 60% of the game

England have been beaten by the first decent side they played in reality we are behind Spain France and probably Germany.Add to that list Argentina and Brazil then it seems that Southgate has had his best chances of winning anything time for a change

They press well, not just charging about but they know how to prevent the defenders playing out from the back.
Sadly, Kane and Foden failed tonight, Bellingham was OK but nothing more. I agree with others here, Southgate is too cautious.

We got our tactics wrong again. I called for 3-5-2 early in this competition and in the previous game we played our best football of the tournament. Yet we revert back to caution first. Bellingham was played out of position yet did ok and was even better when he was moved centrally. Kane is not fit, that’s a given. Walker has been poor all tournament and was at fault for both goals. We started on the back foot and allowed Spain to take control, I said to my mate, after two mins we are in trouble here with this shape and tactics. For the first 15/20 mins we couldn’t put two passes together. Foden was ominous and Kane was somewhere else.
Ultimately our head coach is too negative, too cautious and with the attacking threat we carry we should have put Spain on the back foot and taken the game to them as their defence is their weak spot.
Any tournament and more heartbreak.
Spain deserved to win and were the best team in the tournament so at least we’ve shown grit and determination to hold out till five mins from the end. We just need to be a bit more confident in our players ability.

Has that severe injury he received a severed hamstring restricted his running ability? |
