No way is this a cheap signing. A starter? Maybe, equally as good as Theo and has played consistently at a higher level to him. This provides real competition for places. I wonder how much with TJ as more of a traditional left back, our right side will be more loaded with pace. I agree he will provide real competition and the reason why I say he will be cheap is because he's not the player he was up until 2021-2022 and I can't see him being in demand. His stock has dropped massively through mismanagement and a couple of poor loans, so he has a real chance under Richie to prove himself again.

I do like the idea of a good manager taking young players and players who have found life difficult under his wing and creating a winning unit. It reminds me of Brian Clough at Derby County.

The BBC when reporting this news misreported that it was Orient's third signing after Max Sanders joined from Crewe π²

This will be all on RW's say-so, the risk will be on his shoulders. I've spent far too long (career/business) trying to fit a wrong shaped hole and suffered because of it. In the 1990s I was recruited by a boss in whom I had faith and he turned my career around. Before that my record was "adequate". I know how it feels being released from dim peoples' influence, I hope this chap gets a similar opportunity. He's going to need a nickname!

He will have an early opportunity to put the boot into his old team Charlton which hopefully heβll take. I know absolutely nothing about him so no expectations one way or the other.π

Iβm just pleased we have starting to making inroads into the 5/7 players RW wants. We wait and see if they are any good.

Well Iβve never even heard of him let alone see him so I ventured onto the Charlton fans site to see how they viewed him There was not a single post praising him and everyone was ridiculing him with comments ranging from fat, lazy, lump of lard, useless ect ect. Richie thinks he is an excellent player but was he basing this on his form seasons ago and had he seen him since? When fans are in unison like the Charlton lot they are seldom wrong as they see them week in week out. We will see.
