When fans are in unison like the Charlton lot they are seldom wrong as they see them week in week out. We will see. Hector Kyprianou might have something to say about that. Also, the only Charlton fans who've been watching him week in week out are those who've been watching Wimbledon and St Johnstone instead of their own team. Face it, we're not a statement-signing club. Gambling on cut-price players with something to prove is just where we are. Inevitably you end up with players like Pigott who don't work out, but (just off the top of my head) Archibald, Brown, James, Moncs, Graham, Cooper, Simpson were also in the same situation. All have been good signings to varying degrees. We'll see where Jaiyesimi ranks soon enough 🤷

Well I’ve never even heard of him let alone see him so I ventured onto the Charlton fans site to see how they viewed him There was not a single post praising him and everyone was ridiculing him with comments ranging from fat, lazy, lump of lard, useless ect ect. Richie thinks he is an excellent player but was he basing this on his form seasons ago and had he seen him since? When fans are in unison like the Charlton lot they are seldom wrong as they see them week in week out. We will see. Judged from this, he can only surprise positively it would seem.
Will admit my view of Pigott was based on a few years ago too. Both he and Pigott had decent pasts but perhaps for various reasons have gone off the boil. In both players we have evidence of what they were. The question being not recent stuff but whether they can recapture the qualities they once clearly had. I remain ever hopeful Pigott will get back to his best, same for the new guy. If either do then we have good players. let’s hope they both get their chance and both succeed.

Charlton fans may be criticising him, but it could be he didn’t fit their style/system, bit like Pigott doesn’t for us .

Every confidence Pigott will have a much better season than last.We have had players such as Johnson who took a long time to hit form but he then got above himself and fell away. Where the skies are cloudy all day. What absolute awful weather.

The BBC when reporting this news misreported that it was Orient's third signing after Max Sanders joined from Crewe 😲 Also says for an undisclosed fee, who are we supposed to be paying this fee to as he was released from Charlton last month 🤣 Also says the O’s opening game is away at Barnsley! 😆👍

Asmir Begovic leaves QPR as their goalkeeper at 37, is he too old for O's or could he do a job if there is still a vacancy in the GK department?

If we can stump up another year for Pratley then I don’t see why Begovic would be too old at 37 for us tbh.

Played 45 games for them, 1.99 m (6 ft 6 in) tall, seems like a really good fit for the Os ! I make you a good person to have on Os books as a soccer talent scout ! Surprised at the three forward signings so far, apart from perhaps Kelman, dont think you would have scouted those three players ? Perkins is young and fit so can only hope for a pleasant surprise ?

Would love him here but it's hard to imagine there won't be quite a few teams willing to pay him a fair whack more than us.

Seems like we have to shop around for bargain basement replacements.

If anything like Chesterfield paying last season probably more than O's can stump up.

The QPR fans were very unhappy with his performance at the back end of last season. It is also just kicking the can down the road as we would probably want to replace him next. I would be astonished if he was willing to move to League 1.

I understand the club rates Rhys Byrne highly so wonder if the plan is to have him deputise for a new number 1.

Aldershot! Good move for them and us. If that means we bring in a new number 1, Sol for another year?, with Byrne as backup looks good.

Dubious, when I said Charlton fans see him week in week out I was basing that on the fact they saw him up to the 55 times he played for them not on his loan spells. I guess 55 games is enough for them to form an opinion. I shall form mine after seeing him much less than that.
