I’d quite like a minimum of two signings this week please. From what I’ve picked up BB there are two signings close to being done but both unlikely to be finalised before Thursday. A goalkeeper ( unknown) and a midfielder ( possibly McCalmont of Carlisle?). Also likely to be a couple of triallists on show at Hornchurch tomorrow and next week at Welling.🤞👍

Looks a good option if it happens.

All this will do is put Zech further down the pecking order.... Help this make sense

This would be the only thing that makes sense, that's if all the rumours are true, if this happens then I think our attacking line is complete, regardless if we get rid of Pigot or not.

From Wikipedia McCalmont plays as a deep lying central midfielder. He plays mainly as a playmaking defensive midfielder, known for his passing and ability on the ball, dictating the play.
Belfast Live said McCalmont has "excellent technique, is tenacious in the tackle and has an eye for a pass".
He is under contract at Carlisle.

When he played for Oldham and Carlisle he was a small rapid ACM with pretty decent numbers in League 2, he struggled a bit last season in League One. He's also about to leave the club. www.newsandstar.co.uk/sport/24434909.carlisle-united-jack-armer-alfie-mccalmont-set-leave/

I'm excited to see McCalMont operating as a free flowing mezalla in the double pivot but able to drop deep and become a holding carilelo when required by the rigours of Wellens-ball

Still young and someone Richie can help develop further.

They have had a bid for him but won’t say who. He is expected to leave the club in the few days. Could it be Orient
