Very good comment by Fisch. I think that with George his Christian religion is the main thing driving force in his life and everything else comes second, but has he always been like this ?
Apparently when at Colchester he was a keen trainer and very well thought of. Reference Wikipedia ''Moncur joined Colchester United on a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee on 18 November 2014, signing a contract until 2017. He admitted there was "some sadness about leaving West Ham... but I've got a new challenge in front of me now". His father John approved of the move, saying that "in terms of his football education, this is the right move for George". Manager Tony Humes described Moncur as a "great role model for all the kids at the club, because he works so hard, day in, day out."
A few lines down comes this insight into George's thinking ''Moncur described scoring the winner and aiding Colchester's survival bid as "unreal". He added that "God has a plan for me and I always knew something like this was going to happen" after meeting a "modern-day prophet" at his church in Loughton.
Tbh I really doubt that Moncur’s Christian faith has anything to do with this situation at all, there are numerous examples of athletes who promote Christian values but are rugged, focused individuals who take their profession with extreme seriousness. Unfortunately, George is just not built that way and talented though he is, with RW it’s a case of “ my way or the highway “ it seems. I tend to agree that there is no compromising with RW eg as you stated ''with RW it’s a case of “ my way or the highway “ it seems'' My compromise if it worked would involve including this highly skilled player in a different type of role on the pitch as I have written before but dont think RW is a person who will compromise on anything !! I wrote ''Wonder if a compromise can be made on both sides and perhaps try to accept George as he is, taking on his positives by perhaps using his great skill in a way that it could benefit Leyton Orient. I repeat a previous post I made ''Perhaps GM would be better used as a deep lying play maker pulling the strings and spraying around the passes such as Alan Hudson / Glen Hoddle used to and going back a long time to the 1930s, the Arsenal midfield architect, the genius Alex James !! A position where you make the ball do the work rather than being in a role which involves doing a lot of running'' A role like that might well benefit Leyton Orient and also extend the footballing career of George Moncur.

I think Moncur will play for us when necessary, but not if there is no or very little choice. Poor situation

Compromise will be seen by the rest of the squad who will assess it and ask if everyone is being treated fairly and evenly. If the answer is no, the damage to the team ethic will be incalculable.

I came across this news article online about George Moncur when he was at Hull City, dated 29 APR 2022. Shota Arveladze's major claim over George Moncur as midfielder's Hull City commitment called into question The Tigers boss revealed his frustration at what he believes is a player content at not being selected. Part of this article reads as follows ''"George is one who I really like as a football player," the City boss told Hull Live when asked about his absence in recent weeks. "He's a great lad, he's always smiling and is a good kid. I've talked to him two or three times as well as during the training sessions. He's somebody who is a pleasure to be around. "The only thing which I'm not happy with him for is the fact he's too happy with his position that he's not playing. He doesn't get mad or angry and doesn't want to change things (to get himself back in the team)'' www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/shota-arveladzes-major-claim-over-7012515

Dennis - Wellens has demonstrated very clearly from early on that if a player does not meet the standards that he sets then that individual is history ! Smith, Georghiou. Wood, Khan, Coleman, Ogie have all been given short shrift once RW has made up his mind. No problem with it personally but I seem to recall Jackett getting a bit of stick when he tried to do similar.🤔

Perhaps Leyton Orient should have made more check's on this player and taken his attitude as to training and keeping himself fit into consideration, before signing him for what for this club is a very big salary and big transfer fee.

I saw a video on you tube this morning with a young player Jaden I believe who was invited to make the step up and play with the first team against Spurs u21s at the Chigwell Construction Stadium a few days ago. Like all these young players he spoke well and was full of humility. Spoke well of who influenced him and helped him, like all these young players he mentioned Pratts as one of the most important.DP has a great influence in the dressing room and around the club.I think we should keep him at the club in seasons to come for this reason and could help in recruitment of other players.
