Personally I think moncur is a great talent wasted. As mentioned before,if indeed he has health issues the club should inform the supporters. I suppose they don't want to scupper a possible outward transfer. I don't buy this covid thing with George. His antics at hull were the same as now and that was PRE covid days. He's the highest earner at the club on £200,000 a year gross People are entitled to be rude about him. Isn't he being rude to us?

Well what I did not like was RW stating in a recent interview GM was “ unprofessional “.
That did GM transfer possibilities a great help
If I was GM I would want RW to retract that remark.
It’s called defamation of character and with a negative impact of GM ability to execute a transfer or suitable loan.

You would think so BB but based on past track record I have my doubts. Sooner have him fit and ready to go for us. I don’t think we are being told the full story though. I think you are onto something there dohnut tbh. I have the suspicion there is more to this than meets the eye.

Sounds like censorship so we are not allowed to upset these poor over paid children, he's a wage thief simple as that, Lingy cocked up again, he's taking the pee, simple as that. get rid asap

So if he thinks it's defamation of character why doesn't he try and sue us. good solicitor would be, Messrs Sue, Grabit & Run

I think accusations of being a wage thief, a sicknote, unprofessional, aren't helpful and agree with ECA that this sort of thing should be kept in house.
We really don't know what has gone on, just like I don't know what has gone on in your personal lives. And trust me I know a lot about living a life outside of this forum at the moment and the 1% of grief I get about not moderating or approving new members within minutes of them registering is enough to make your toes curl, and this is just trivial stuff.
What is quite apparent is that the club want to move George on, we can assume it's to free up some budget, but ultimately whatever their reasons, we need to take it that it's in the best interests of the club.

I agree MungO - it’s always better to keep things civil and feel like you that in this instance , it is clearly in the best interests of the club that GM moves elsewhere and we salvage what we can from what has been - overall- an expensive mistake.

That’s the key point mungo “it’s in the best interests of the club”
Personally I’d build a team around George and tell him to go run the show. He has stardust in his feet and a brain which is way ahead of his team mates. However, we don’t see him everyday, we don’t know the whole picture and the club is right in not broadcasting it. The only real snippet we got was from Richie on his fitness and professionalism.
I personally will be gutted if he goes, but if it’s not working then I accept the decision on that Richie has or will make, as he’s the most important person in our club. If George is on a last throw of the dice, knuckle down and prove people wrong.

In a smaller arena, Moncs seems to be a bit Paul Gascoigne, Alex Higgins, Mark Cavendish in that he requires a lot of management attention to keep his fingers off his own built-in self destruct button. Like everyone else here, l don't know any specifics but my Spurs insider mate tells me that Orient needed to convince them that Donley would not be exposed to a toxic dressing room before they agreed to the loan deal. By "toxic", their concerns focused mainly (but not entirely) upon GM's influence within it. I also understand that Prats was directly involved in the discussions and was a key actor in getting the deal done.

Don't dispute your in the know information but that's a few big statements. I see nothing from GM over than positivity to be honest and if Spurs don't like whatever we're doing then sod them and take their players elsewhere. Nobody seemed too fussed about GM when we won the league. Not putting GM on levels of Gazza, etc.. but he does appear to have that X-Factor that nobody else can reach, we just can't seem to pull it out of him enough. It may be like what Thor said, we need to build everything around him. Maybe we could have done if he was 24 and we had time. But he isn't and Richie has a game plan, the club has a path it is on, and to be fair, we ain't doing too bad in the scheme of things. I forget now which manager we had when GM was brought in? There's no doubt though that since Smyth left, now GM isn't playing, we don't really have anybody that gets you off your seat. It's a bit flat. Theo does a little bit, and Jordon Graham definitely does, but we need to see them. That'll get us all buzzing again.

I suppose I'm saying we need a bit a 'spark' from someone or somewhere to get us going.
Outlook Podcast boys on their latest episode sort of alluded to it.
We've got, and signed some really good players, but nothing to give you the ooomph quite yet.
That's why I feel if GM does move on we'll be treated to something a bit special.

Agreed with Mungo's comments, I don't think I've got out my seat on either game this season. No one is going past anyone and making the crowd get excited. Its as you say a bit flat.
A Charlton fan I spoke to afterwards asked me where that left winger of yours was, I told him injured and he replied thank god for that as at your place he ripped us to shreds, we couldn't stop him. Theo, in full flow is proper exciting, as was Smythe.
I'm not a fan of the diamond to be honest and maybe it changes when we get get the wingers fit, although as he staked his hat on Kelman it may not happen.

Stating the obvious. Love Moncs. Would be the final piece of the jigsaw puzzle if we could get him firing but Im sure the team have tried and, for whatever reason, we just cant find the right levers. I wish we could. I wish he could tell us what they were but Im not even sure he knows. Maybe he just doesnt love the game any more?

I distinctly recall Richie’s comments on the signing “ it is a huge coup for the club” . Sadly didn’t turn out that way!

I think yourfriend must have been referring to Agyei as Graham was injured when we played charlton last season in both games and Agyei came on and ripped charlton to pieces in the last 20 minutes when we beat them 1-0
