Yeah I'm back commuting daily on the bike and it really does make you feel better. Not including silly distances like today just the commute makes me hit 100k a week. Since the start of September I've gone from 18.5 stone down to 17.5 stone. Buzzing for that. It really does make a difference. Whether young fit guys like you or me at 73. At my age, the effect of exercise, and the lack of it, becomes very noticeable and very quickly.

Howling our great poster and cyclist still missing from this forum. Also the faux holy man. If I had a bike it would be a mountain bike.Lots of lovely terrain near me to enjoy myself.Seeing how some drive I would not care to be a road cyclist. Epping and Hainault forest seem great places for a mountain bike ride. One of the things I expected to do when I retired.

Had a hip replacement 12 years ago, advised cycling was a good exercise. So went out cycling, shocking bike-unfriendly roads and some inconsiderate motorists (and cyclists too tbh). Hence my spinning bike. Did classes for a long time but decided to buy one. Great investment. I can exercise whilst watching TV, using my iPad or listening to music. YouTube has some great cycling videos. Was doing a trip round Spain a few days ago. Though I do use a real bike at times, but it’s on the bike rack and off to cycle-friendly places, Bournemouth esplanade is great. Go for miles and plenty of eateries. Plan to do it again soon.

I would still love to go on a mountain bike, but the bad knee replacement has put a stop to that.It has come loose so daren't risk it.

Just cycled around Greenwich / O2 / Cutty Sark. Few boozers selling beer out of doorways and windows. Lovely day for it. About time cyclists paid road tax and were licensed and made to take punishment for accidents they sometimes cause.

Don’t know about Howling Mad but I would venture a guess that Cardinal Slofas has resurfaced under a different guise ( or two)!😄👍

Any sign of Howling? Think he used to be ESI on the dark side. He just disappeared. I always enjoyed the Revd Peter’s words of wisdom.
Does Disoriented still post on here?
