Didn't someone say that he was planning to move south this summer? Yes RW in one of the interviews. He also used words in his last couple of interviews which conveyed the message that he and the club were moving together and how well he gets on with Ling (DOF ) and others There are around 90-100 professional league clubs There are many out of work managers Clubs generally have no loyalty to a manager and constantly disregard effort and write people off with no logical planning - if one was in a job and there was mutual respect it would be irresponsible to move to a club that dismissed a manager when in the playoffs It’s a bit like having a stable wife or girl friend and abandon them for the new hot visually appealing women you meet who actually is a latent lunatic that changes boy friends every few months and may even have a STI to give you as a parting present |

If he goes, and he may not, then he leaves us in a far better place than when he joined. For that he deserves our thanks and best wishes. Who of us can begrudge him the opportunity to move on to better things, both financially and career wise. I’ll be delighted if he stays but will wish him every success if he goes. I think he will go for the following reasons 1)I don’t think Orient can match Riches ambitions 2) Barnsley is close to home and is more likely to be promoted to the championship than Orient. 3) He will be offered a sum of money that we could not match 4 ) He has had an extension to his current contract on the table for a few weeks. He said in one of post interviews that the contract offered will be signed one way or another. That tells you something is not quite right 5) He did not turn up on Saturday or Sunday evening 5 good reasons to think he will be off. Will he take Paul with him. Who knows.? He will be very hard to replace.At this moment in time I do not know of anybody . Any Ideas? |

What nobody is mentioning is that if RW is with us next season it doesn't mean he didn't get an interview. It means that he didn't get the job if he did get one. He won't be the only candidate. Its likely that it is a wait and see situation which h doesn't help our recruitment efforts

Richie said several times that he never got the three transfer windows he needed at Salford and Doncaster. Makes a mockery of it if he leaves before having three here.

I have been hearing rumours, that Bolton will sack the manager of they fail to get promotion.
That would be Richie's dream job. He said in an interview, if he had Bolton's players, he'd definitely get promotion with them.
Richie house is about a 15 minute drive from Bolton. It would be ideal.
Let's hope all this is wrong and he stays

My view of his "disappearance" at the Shrewsbury game and other non-sightings at Orient events is that he is winding down after a very intense league campaign. Poor bloke needs a rest to restoke his fires for the forthcoming campaign. And secondly, Matt Harrold's role will be his last of this type for a while, so maybe Richie stepped aside to let him have the pleasure. I predict we'll have a northern accent blaring from the dug out in the new season.
