I'm delighted with this news. Richie showing commitment to the club, and even if he is poached at a later time, we'll get some greater compensation for it.
I suspect a 'clear the air' chat on transfers have taken place with Richie receiving some reassurance.
Now our manager is secured, we can start to do the summer transfer business.
I won't push it but I wonder if there was any truth in the Barnsley position for him.

Remember when some on here, and that monstrosity board, questioned Richie when our start wasnt great? Remember some giving it cos he got the odd card? Luckily, these people aint on the wheel. A massive coup by the club. If someone wants him now they have to pay big bucks. RW is the real deal. I reckon he has been given assurances on budgets and targets.

I do think it's going to be a case of who outgrows who first eventually. But for the time being we're ticking along well together. We both need to prove ourselves further in League One first. This is great news. |
